Collaborating Couples

Thanks to Dana Taylor for including me as one of three guests invited to discuss their collaborative writing with spouses on her popular Definitely Dana radio show. This particular program will air on healthylife.net two times in April. The first broadcast can be heard on April 5 at 12 p.m. and the second on April 8 at 8 p.m. Both time slots listed are Pacific Time. The Collaborating Couples show will also be available in the archives for approximately 10 weeks.

Appearing under my pseudonym of Elizabeth Lawrence, I discuss such topics as why my husband and I wrote IT HAD TO BE US, how it came to be published, and our association with The Romance Club and the IMAGINATION LIBRARY. But the highlight of the show is when Dana reads two sections of the book written by my husband. Those passages certainly give listeners the flavor of his wry humor!

The Definitely Dana radio show spotlights artists, authors, and performers who use their creativity in positive ways. For more information, go to www.healthylife.net.

A Book To Cherish

Author Jane Bernard believes we should depend as much on our intuition as we do on what we see, hear, taste, touch and smell. In fact, she calls intuition our sixth sense. Her book, FINE TUNING: CONNECTING WITH YOUR INNER POWER, is an impressive tool to help readers tap into this seldom used force in order to be fully alive. Part spiritual guidebook and part just plain common sense, FINE TUNING is presented in an unusual user-friendly format that, quite frankly, made me completely receptive to its inspirational and empowering message. This is a book one can begin reading on any of its 240 pages, then skip around as desired. Filled with words of wisdom and advice from the author as well as from famous philosophers, writers, poets, religious figures and others, FINE TUNING succeeds in lifting the reader to unexpected heights of soul-searching and joy. I cherish my copy of this unique book and plan on referring to it daily.

IMAGINATION LIBRARY

My husband and I, in cooperation with The Romance Club, are giving away a FREE copy of the new E-Book edition of IT HAD TO BE US, which we wrote as Harry & Elizabeth Lawrence, to anyone who makes a donation of any amount to the IMAGINATION LIBRARY. This heartfelt romantic memoir describes how we reunited after being divorced and estranged for nearly two decades.

The IMAGINATION LIBRARY is a children's literacy program that brings free books to children each month from birth to 5 years old. This important program is spreading quickly across the country. Over 500 communities have enrolled, and more than 200,000 books are delivered to children every month. Donations will help bring more books to more children. All the money received by the IMAGINATION LIBRARY goes to providing books for children, because all the administrative expenses are paid for by the Dollywood Foundation. Donations can be made by check or credit card.
