Doing The Time Warp Again

Award-winning actor Barry Bostwick reminisces about The Rocky Horror Picture Show during Movie Addict HQ’s annual tribute to that bizarre cult classic today on BlogTalkRadio. Barry also talks with Alan Levy, co-founder and CEO of BlogTalkRadio, concerning the popular midnight shows connected with this outrageous movie. Bostwick, who played “Brad Majors” (Susan Sarandon’s naïve boyfriend), speaks candidly about his experiences connected with the film -- including weather problems, what it was like working with Sarandon, his favorite scene in the movie, and much more. Rocky Horror Again!

Movie Addict Headquarters starts getting ready for Halloween this week by revisiting Barry Bostwick’s popular interview about The Rocky Horror Picture Show. And we'll even be doing THE TIME WARP again!

Bostwick portrayed “Brad” in this 1975 horror/musical that became a cult film. The multi-talented actor has appeared in over 100 films and television productions. He’s a triple-threat entertainer -- singer, dancer, actor -- who created the role of Danny Zuko in Grease on Broadway and won a Tony for his work in The Robber Bridegroom. He’s appeared in such TV programs as Spin City, Cougar Town, Glee, Scrubs, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, George Washington, and War and Remembrance. Among Bostwick’s numerous movies are: Movie Movie; Spy Hard; Evening, and Swing. He has the following upcoming films completed or in post-production: Finding Joy; Home Run Showdown; and FDR: American Badass! (in which he plays Franklin Delano Roosevelt).

“Barry Bostwick & The Rocky Horror Picture Show” airs on Tuesday, October 11, at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on BlogTalkRadio. LINK TO LISTEN:

Barry Bostwick Kicks Off Horror Month

I’m happy to report that actor Barry Bostwick has agreed to drop by “Movie Addict Headquarters” on BlogTalkRadio to help me usher in a series of programs about horror movies scheduled during the month of October. On October 2, Bostwick will discuss his experiences as one of the stars of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” the bizarre 1975 musical that became a cult classic.

With over 80 film and television performances to his credit, Bostwick may be best-known as the clueless mayor on “Spin City.” However, he’s a triple-threat entertainer – singer, dancer, actor – who created the role of Danny Zuko in “Grease” on Broadway and won a Tony for his work in “The Robber Bridegroom”. He’s appeared in such TV programs as “Scrubs,” “Law & Order Special Victims Unit,” “Las Vegas”, and the mini-series “George Washington” (playing the title character). Bostwick earned a Golden Globe as Best Supporing Actor in the "War and Remembrance"miniseries and is also a frequent host of PBS’s “A Capitol Fourth.” His most recent movies are “Evening” and “Nancy Drew.”

To hear Barry Bostwick live on “Movie Addict Headquarters,” click on http://www.blogtalkradio.com/movieaddictheadquarters at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, Tuesday, October 2. The program will also be available later as an archived segment.

Additional upcoming MAHQ offerings during October include: an interview with Rosemary Gore, the actress famous for her portrayal of Alice Walker in "Fear of the Dark" as well as for her work in the quirky "Baby Doll" short film; a discussion of the very scary "28 Weeks Later" plus other zombie films; and some exciting “horror” surprises.
