Congratulations, Dr. Ravi!

One of my favorite indie filmmakers is finally receiving the recognition he deserves. Dr. Ravi Godse’s new comedy, If It Ain’t Broke, Break It, has been selected as one of three opening night movies to be shown at Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Film Festival. During an interview on “Movie Addict Headquarters” this week, Ravi mentioned that the other two films are Heath Ledger’s last movie, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, and Precious, a drama already earning considerable acclaim. “I’m in good company,” Ravi said.

If It Ain’t Broke, Break It is Dr. Ravi’s third film. As usual, this real-life physician produced, wrote, directed and stars in it as an amusing version of himself. In his third outing, Ravi’s misguided efforts to improve the lives of six of his friends backfire on him -- with hilarious results. For more information about this very funny film, go to http://www.ravigodse.com/. Be sure to check out the delightful trailer!

Dr. Ravi’s movie is scheduled to be screened on Friday, November 6, at the Three Rivers Film Festival. More details about this festival can be found at http://www.3rff.com/ .
