Nothing Gold Can Stay
After
my husband and I finished watching “Nothing Gold Can Stay,” one of the best
television series we have ever seen, I became obsessed with writing lyrics for
the gorgeous opening music. Although I write poetry, I’ve never tried lyrics. I
hope my lines below do justice to this magnificent 74-episode Chinese offering.
Nothing gold can stay.
Life gets in the way.
Time goes by so fast.
You decide what lasts.
Love may come to you,
hoping to be true.
You will make mistakes
causing great heartaches.
