Honorable Mention at New York Book Festival

I received some exciting news this past week. My book, SUSAN SARANDON: A TRUE MAVERICK, has received Honorable Mention in the Wild Card section at the 2007 New York Book Festival!

Sponsored by J.M. Northern Media, this festival is designed to bring greater attention to worthy works of literature and help them have an impact beyond the grassroots level. Entries were judged according to the storytelling ability of the author and the potential of the book to win wider recognition in the publishing industry. Winners in 15 categories were recognized at an awards ceremony in New York City on June 23.

I entered my book in the Wild Card section because it definitely is NOT a traditional biography and because Susan Sarandon is a kind of wild card herself.
