Best Love Story

Thanks to RuneMissy Dani for her enthusiastic comments about IT HAD TO BE US, the little romantic memoir my husband and I co-wrote under the pseudonyms of Harry and Elizabeth Lawrence. Here is an excerpt from the e-mail message she sent me last week:

Your life is like the best love story that I have ever read. Your hubby is now ‘in touch with his feelings!’ I can tell that you both have true and long-lasting appreciation and love for each other. I am so touched and hope that one day I can look at my relationship and say that I have the same. Thank you for this wonderful book. I have saved it to my computer to re-read when I need to feel romanced!

Miss Lafalot Loves "It Had To Be Us"

My husband and I recently received a beautiful e-mail message from Miss Lafalot, a BTR Host/Certified Laughter Yoga Leader. After reading IT HAD TO BE US, the little romantic memoir we wrote under the pseudonyms Harry & Elizabeth Lawrence, she sent us the following reaction to our award-winning E-book.

A story of love re-united by pen and passion! Two people so deeply in love and aligned that even years, re-marriage and distance could not break their bond. A touching, sincere, funny, and engaging memoir, written by lovers -- from the heart. I laughed. I cried. I pondered and reflected. It's amazing!

Thanks so much, Miss Lafalot. We’re very happy you enjoyed IT HAD TO BE US.

Miss Lafalot does an awesome job helping listeners start out the day with laughter each Tuesday through Friday morning on BlogTalkRadio. Here’s a link to her fun show:

Book Pedler Loves IT HAD TO BE US

My husband and I want to thank The Book Pedler for reviewing IT HAD TO BE US, the little romantic memoir we wrote under the pseudonyms of Harry and Elizabeth Lawrence, and for writing such a glowing review of our true story. Excerpts from that review follow.

“What can I say about IT HAD TO BE US except that it makes my heart sing? I have been a lover of romance novels for a long time but there is something in the realness of this true story that outshines all of those. IT HAD TO BE US is better than any novel by Nora Roberts because the love is real, it isn’t fiction. Harry and Elizabeth let their love for each other bloom again despite the years and hard feelings between them.”

“IT HAD TO BE US is the ultimate story of forgiveness, of letting yourself love again. I especially loved the way it was written with Elizabeth in first person and Harry writing in third person. The contrasting styles helped give the characters their own voices and their honest let you see right into them, let you love and breathe along with them. Though this novelette is short …it packs quite the punch. I found myself thinking of past love and new love.”

“IT HAD TO BE US actually touched me, actually got under my skin and made me feel. It’s a rare accomplishment for an author to make their reader feel; Harry and Elizabeth accomplished this with aplomb. It also is one of the best love stories ever written. It’s clever, funny, charming and very heartfelt. I was sorry to see it end … I wanted it to go on forever.”

"Do yourself and your heart a favour and read IT HAD TO BE US. For isn’t love one of the greatest things to read about?”
